The Olympus FE-46 is a pocketable point-and-shoot camera with a 12mp sensor and a 5x zoom lens. But that's not the most interesting thing: This camera has been converted to shoot in infrared, which sort of rules. This is a homemade conversion, so the sensor filter has been pulled, and a piece of IR filter is taped to the front of the lens: looks a bit dodgy, but it sure works. Out of camera images are purple-tinted monochrome; a touch of post processing turns them into striking b&w (see sample).
